Thai national team captain Teerasil Dangda has died, his wife Phusita Polrak tells the media.
According to Phusita, Teerasil Dangda was rushed to hospital in the wee hours of Saturday morning after he complained of severe stomachache.
“He started complaining after dinner last evening and he was alright. It became severe at dawn and we rushed him to the hospital where he died about an hour later”, Phusita Polrak said.
The wife explains Teerasil condition before going to bed was not anything alarming that required that he sees a doctor.
Teerasil Dangda was a footballer who played for Thai League 1 club Muangthong United and the Thailand national team which he served as a team captain.
Teerasil parted ways with Sanfrecce Hiroshima after his loan period concluded in December 2018.
He died at 31.
